I'll have to take Wheaton North over Geneva, though that squad of fab freshmen are coming on really strong.
I'd watch out for the Porters--Mitsos is back, and it is their home course.
Also, some of the other regionals:
Neuqua Valley over Minooka Edwardsville over O'Fallon Moline maybe? (they've got a great front runner and some other girls under 20) Woodstock will probably win their own regional McCauley over Whitney Young with St. Ignatius 3rd

1) Lincoln-Way East 2) Lockport 3) Andrew 3a) Lincoln-Way Central 5) East should win, but the Porters will give them a good battle. The difference will be the 5th runner. East's gap at conference last week 1-5 was under 45 seconds--I don't know if the Porters can match that. It's a tossup between the T-Bolts and Knights for 3rd. Central beat them 3 times earlier this year, but the T-Bolts put 6 in front of the Knights' 3rd at conference. I have no idea who the 5th team will be. It really wouldn't surprise me if 28 of the top 30 runners in this regional came from the top four teams. Crete Monee won their conference last weekend, so I suppose they're the favorite. It's interesting to see the new Normal Sectional rankings. O'Fallon is now, apparently, the #5 team in the sectional. I'm pretty sure they placed in the 20s at Wheaton North, far behind East, Lockport, and Central. Anyone know what kind of times they're running now?

I can't imagine O'Fallon driving all the way to Wheaton to run at less than full strength. Their times from Peoria Woodruff were ok (pack from 19:30 to 20:00), but nothing spectacular. They gave Edwardsville a good race at conference, so I think the rankings must be going off of that. It's hard to predict right now, so we'll just have to wait and see.

jr43~
I found the O'Fallon results from their conference meet.
19:10 19:11 19:30 19:41 19:47 20:04 20:13
Good 1-5 split (37 seconds), but no front-runner (1st girl was 8th place at this meet).
