Yes, she had a good CC season, and was runner-up in last year's 8AA 1600 and 4th in the 800, but along with last year's 8AA 400 state champ, Alyse Williams, who also is a freshman at Huntley this year, I heard they're thinking of playing soccer for Huntley this spring. Would love to have them running track and playing club soccer, like Casey Short, as this is Huntley's three-time 400 state medalist Coryn Marzejon's senior year, and they could put together some good relay teams, as well as gain some good experience training together. But as long as Illinois continues to be one of three states that holds girls soccer in the spring, against softball and track, instead of the fall, when there is only volleyball, you will lose out on a ton of good talent.

I guess cross country wouldn't suffer by the move of girl's soccer to the fall? Missouri has softball in the fall as well. Add that to golf and tennis and your fall is pretty full. Bottom line is they have to do what they love the most.
