I do believe Regina George ran in the high 55s this summer in the 400 for the Zephyrs at the JOs. Are you saying that's not good enough for a top 3 finish, or she's not going to complete in the event this season and try to pull the rare double like Casey Short did last year in AA? If anything she should run the 400, as after last summer, I think she would be the favorite in AA, let alone A.

She should be top 2 in both 400 and 800m. The top pick in the 400m with her 55 time from this summer.

I'd be a little concerned if this is true. Those are awfully fast for this time of the season and would have me concerned regarding her training regime. But heck, if she can improve from here, I'd be estatic going into state.

Very impressive! Not being critical, can she still improve? The most impressive thing was that the 1600 and 800 were without any competition.

Sorry, screwed up on the 3200. But how about the other times??? Not too shabby, huh? Those times are definitely incredible for this early and without competition, but a 10:20 would just be crazy, especially for an 18:00 xc runner.

Does she become the favorite for the 800/1600 or the 3200/1600? What events does she run? It is awfully tough for a distance kid to pull off a double.

Sorry, but the A 800 is Regina George's, as is the 400 and 200, if she so desires. According to NationalEliteYouthRanking here are her summer times; 200 - 25.68, 25.65, 25.68 400 - 56.64, 56.93, 55.67, 56.65, 56.73, 56.93, 57.19, 57.72, 57.19, 57.98 800 - 2:13.95, 2:12.90, 2:11.47, 2:13.16, 2:14.67, 2:10.91, 2:12.90

Everyone said that a couple years ago when a relatively unknown Jr named Bastert was supposed to win both the 1600 and 3200. Someone forgot to tell another unknown runner called Brokaw that she had no business even thinking she had a chance in the 1600. George may very well win the 800. Add the 400 and 200, not a chance. She may pull it off in smaller meets but no way at state. These young ladies will be fun to follow all season long. Good luck!
