Should be a good one today. Girls side we should see a very good A&M team domante. Individualy it should be a race between Ad and Alymer.
Guys side should be really good as Monticello, Shelbyville, and Tolono Unity square off. Indy race should be tight with Rhodes and Hollinsworth (Monticello, fighting Reel, Nibbe, Baker (Shelbyville) and Dodds, Kraft, Dust (Tolono Unity). Monticello may be without Clark, but they always run really well at this race.
Predictions?

I'll make a stab at this one.
Girls side, A&M should win this one going away...agree totally with your prediction.
Guys race -
Team - Shelbyville for the win, Unity second, Monticello third.
Individually -
1. Rhodes (M) 2. Reel (Shel) 3. Dodds (Unity) 4. Hollingsworth (M) - hopefully he'll get out of his funk in this meet. 5. Nibbe (Shel) 6. Baker (Shel) 7. Kraft (Unity)
Not sure about other individuals in this conference, so please feel free to fill in the spots.
Best of luck to these teams today. Where's the meet at today?

The meet is at Lodge Park in Monticello. Coach Butler has the course looking really good. Anyway I completely agree with volsxc1's predictions for this meet. Should be a good meet.
Volsxc1, this is off subject but I know you ran in college and I was just wondering what your best time was for an 8k.

It was 25:15 on a hilly course in Nashville, TN. Best 10k in XC was 30:34 at the Alabama NCAA Region meet.

sounds like your best 8k came as a split in your 10k race.

It is 3.0 and it dosen't run fast. Shelbyville's number 5 (Nick Selby, little brother of three time state champ Sarah ) ran a great race. He could help this team alot. Good day for Shelbyville.

quite impressed with how well shelbyville ran.. pretty good #5 too if this is 3.0? Shelbyville ran great. 1:13 split 1-5 and 6-7 men ran pretty good. 6th man looks like he pushed tolono's fifth back. I was also impressed with Tolono-Unity. They have improved greatly since I saw them at St. Joseph. They are definitely in the hunt for state berth. PBL sectional is insane. Monticello is hurting without Clark. Rhodes looked strong.

Shelbyville is going to be very tough in the future. I am impressed with their young guys.

Side note I did talk to Clark at the race, and it's starting to look like he will be back for sectionals. I'm not saying that when he comes back they will be the favorites to win PBL, but he maybe able to get them out of sectionals. He was right behind Foley in the race he broke his foot, so in theory he woun't be to far behind him. Monticello would still need a great race from Hollingsworth and Foley, but they could pull it off.

Looks like it was a good meet. Anybody know what's going on with Aftan Noon?
Shelbyville definitly looks to be the favorite at the PBL Sectional. Still haven't seen much on T-Town lately, anyone have any recent results from them?
Good luck to Clark in his comeback.

Still haven't seen much on T-Town lately, anyone have any recent results from them? Good luck to Clark in his comeback. I believe afta noon is nursing an injury. May not have run hard. T-Town is at St. Anthony Invitational on Sat. along with Cumberland. Should be interesting. I still think that T-Town, Cumberland and Shelbyville are all too close to call. Obviously if Shelbyville continues to pull its 5-6-7 closer as they did at OVC they will be tough. Still a lot of tough teams that could come on. Tolono keeps getting better. Beecher is real tough up front with #1 especially. SJO and UNI-HIGH are right there. PBL and Oakwood could make some noise. Monticello will be back. Although it will be tough for them. PBL sectional has a lot of depth. Just like always. I noticed Cardoza did not run for PBL last night. Anyone know why?

How about the Okaw Teams. Shelbyville 6th and Tolono 9th. If Monticello would have remained healthy you might have had three teams in the top ten at state. Great Job!

sparky: double check the PBL sectional results. when I checked the Sages would not have made it out even if Clark had won the race

sparky: double check the PBL sectional results. when I checked the Sages would not have made it out even if Clark had won the race Yes, I know. But I was taking into consideration Monticello running like they did when they won St. Joe and Tuscola meets. Hollingsworth, Foley and Biddle were running much better then. Those guys had a little bit of let down after Clark went down. But what would have probably happened is that Tolono or Shelbyville might not have made it to state if Monticello gets out. Great Job by PBL this year. Many people had you written off in the middle of the season.
