Since this is not an official state meet and since we will soon be 3 classes, what do people think of combing all three classes for the indoor classic and make it a true state meet? equal amount of qualifiers per class however? Just throwing it out there

that would be a great idea. only problem is that it is early in the season so not everyone will be peaking. if everyone was peaking for it, then it would make a good indication of who really is the best, regardless of class. Because, really, you weren't branded with A or AA (or AAA for that matter) when you were born. the indidvidual events should definitely be one class if nothing else.

I guess regardless, not everyone is peaking anyway during this time period. But all i have to say is, I remember last years IPPT, and I don't know how many people would want to sit through THREE classes of it.

AND because, it is kind of cool for the kids (I think), because it gives some of the single A kids vindication that they can compete with the double and triple A kids. The state meet does not give them that opportunity, so it would make the indoor state meet unique.

in cross country, you get footlocker where you can have A guys go against AA guys plus guys from other states. you could make top times be similar in that you have people qualify regardless of class.... eatmosquirrel said that people dont want to sit through 3 classes. it will probably be on 3 separate days anyways just how A and AA are on 2 different days now.

I wouldve liked that, but since Im graduating this year its really a dead topic for me, but I think it would be a great idea to have one meet for all 3 classes, much like in the state of Indiana, whoever wins would be considered "The Man" no matter what class theyre in

What would prevent us from running it in a large school, small school format like is now?
The classification by the IHSA technically only concerns the state meet series.
