This video is great! Thank you for putting it up it provides a great memory for my senior season! Is there anyone taping the state track meet?

We'll be taping a lot at IPTT definitely, but the State Meet is a bit harder for us to do a lot of video. Rock has some great photographers he hires for these meets that get a lot of excellent pictures. A lot of us who work the state meet are out interviewing athletes, coaches, and taking splits for the distance races and relays and move between the press box and infield quite a bit, at IPTT that's not so difficult, but even for a well conditioned individual moving back and forth from the infield to the press box 2 days in a row is a chore at EIU.

There are a couple of things going on for us that will be new this year.
We are expanding our photography division this year, and it will be noticeable. We are hoping to use this to help support the website.
We will be cutting down on our photography from the IHSA meets. This is out of respect to VIPS. They have the contract for IHSA photography and are entitled to have a majority of photography from the meet. It is a way for them to sustain revenue which in turn keeps people employed, insured, and happy. We will be out at other non IHSA (sectional/state) meets.
As a result of less photography, we are hoping to make up the difference by doing more with video. We are toying with the idea of buying the television rights (cost of $2,000) and broadcasting the meet over the Internet (live streaming web), but the cost to us would be enormous in terms of buying equipment, hiring, and other costs. We are actively seeking a high profile sponsor that could support this endeavor.
We have always had big goals since we took over Illinois Prep Top Times. It is our belief to try and do the most that we can do for Cross Country and Track & Field in Illinois. We are far from reaching our goals, but continue to strive to better the exposure of High School Track and Cross Country in this state. As of right now, our only obstacles have been financial. Your support, and the support you give to our sponsors, always help us. Please continue to do so and watch us expand!
