We all know that Havel is great! But after watching Derrick in the 3200 in Track; he is the man! He will have a another break-out season in CC! It should be a great match-up w Havel-who is a great surge racer, Derrick is a great surge racer and has superior finishing speed!

I got to go with Havel. He has like always been the man in illinois cross-country. I mean he was a junior high state champ, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he already a three time All-Stater. He finished secound and there was nobody anywhere near him and Jager last year. I mean last year Jager won it, Havel was like 10 or 15 meters back and then about 10 meters behind him was everybody else.

After the Hornet-Red Devil race on Saturday, you might want to change the title of this thread to "Derrick - Who will challenge or beat Derrick?"
Wow... What an great run on soft-slow 3 mile course!

Derrick is the kid to beat, 14 30 are you kidding me? thats only a little slower then what he ran at state last year. No offense to havel, hes a great runner, but derrick is going under 14 at state, and i dont think havel can stay with him.

i also think that derrick is going to take havel. i dont think its going to be a blow out. i wouldnt be surpised if it was the kid of race last year between jager and havel. it might even be closer this year.

That would be pretty sweet to watch Derrick go under 14, but let us not forget, that Havels pr is alot closer to that time then Derricks is. If anyone is going sub 14 it's Havel.

what did i tell you boys all along havel is one of the most overrated highscool xc runners ever No, i hate to say this cause nick is a tight guy but he is notorious for starting fast and flaming out late in season. Havel only ran 1434 at this meet last year. He will be the one crossing the finish line first at state
