not gonna lie, this thread sucks. It is NEVER a given that a team is going to win state. Yes, sycamore is a favorite and by a long shot, but it is never a given. Anything can happen at state that can cause a blow up. It happens a bunch of years where the number 1 by seemingly alot is upset by another team who careered on that day. Now, do I think sycamore is going to win state, probably. But i never would say that it is a given. EVER

I completely agree it's never a given. There are too many variables on any given day. I for one am not giving it to Sycamore by any means. Upsets do happen and I am rooting for it this year.

I think Chatwool-Glenwood is going to regroup and pull off a major upset over Sycamore and Springfield High.
I'm having trouble finding the town of Chatwool on a map though. I heard it was down by Springfield but the only town that's close to anything like Chatwool is Chatham.

wow... chatwool is not a school. the schools name is chatham-glenwood. I know, I live right across the street from it. I thought it was funny that it was mispelled "Chatwool".

Neverstoprunning - you don't have to be able to predict WHAT team could win to say someone can beat Sycamore. That's the point - that on any given day any one of several teams have a shot at it. That statement doesn't suck - it's just thought out way more than a tunnel vision prediction.......

ok well i didnt want to make a poll that asked who will win state because that would suck even worse cause everyone in there rite mind would vote for sycamore like the state champ poll now i guess i shouldnt have said that it was a given
