It's been a while since this message board has been up. I like it alot better than the dyestat spot. But the last time I posted here we had 4 dominate teams in Track and Field; York, Cahokia, Springfield Lanphier, and East St. Louis. Everyone makes runs and has up and down years but it seems out of those teams Cahokia has continued to do well year in and year out. So the question is will they continue to be a force? The other 3 teams seem to have been down a little, East St. is losing kids to the other metro east teams, Springfield's sprint coach left and they haven't recovered, and York hasn't continued to have a dominate sprint program.. With the 3 Classes now will we see teams make three to four year runs again? Or are those days over and we'll have different teams stepping up from one year to the next? I love seeing the Chicago Inner City teams do well. Which Chi-Town team will make a run this year?

A little off the topic of dominant programs, but clearly something to look forward to in 2013...
Illinois Wesleyan has re-surfaced their indoor facility- a brand new six lane track complete with mondo surface - alternating lanes of green and gray. Really sharp. Can't wait to see the times laid down this February and March.

If they let us put down a new start line, we'll be fine.

Rock... " The straightaway only has markings for 60 Meters. That may change things for IPTT. We'll see. If they let us put down a new start line, we'll be fine" That would work for the flat 60's - but not the hurdles. A 2nd start line would require new hurdle marks as well

We will try to work the issue out.
