by the way, in our IESA advisory committe meeting last fall, we recommended that full sectional results be posted on the IESA website. Steve thought he could pull it off, we would need sectional hosts to get the information to him in a timely matter. I haven't seen the hosting directions yet (Liberty is hosting a sectional this year). We've been working on getting a timing company contracted to do it this year. I really liked what Rushville and St Agnes had for their sectionals last year. A nice pdf file, or a link to the results hopefully will work and be convienent consolidated in one location. I hope Illinoispreptoptimes had good luck in getting results sent to them.

So far one jr high results. The big meets shouldn't be a problem because most of them are with a computer program. The small meets like mine you have to hand type all of it. The main thing is to get the coaches running the meets to take the time to post them. Out of all the invites that go on each week, you can only find results for a small amout of them. It just the beginning, we just have to get the word out to the coaches that there is a place to send the result to. So tell them at the meets about IPTT.

For the database, I'm looking for the School Name, Coaches Name(s), and email address. That way we could communicate state wide.
For results, we will take any type of file. You can fax hand written results, but please make the penmanship good. The fax number is on our reporting results page.

I am just trying to think of the best way to do that. I did an e-mail to all the IESA schools once and it took several days to do. Some of the addresses listed in IESA were wrong. It would almost be easier to keep the e-mail of the school and the AD than the coaches names and e-mail. The change over at the jr high level is amazing. There are some old timers that have been there for a while but in a lot of the schools I deal with they go through a lot of coaches. An idea might be that Steve Endsley at IESA would send an e-mail out to all the schools contacts and they would have to get back to you with the information you are looking for. That is if they wanted anything to do with it. What do you think Jeff? The other thing would be is the southern half of the state, SIJHSAA.

I don't know if Steve would want to be the go between. I can get some names and emails sent to Bob of quite a few coaches, along with my own. We might be better off promoting by word of mouth. The south group on the other hand has a message board on their website. Bob could probably post there with a shout out and reach a pretty size-able audience, especially if it is there when the site starts getting used more heavily during championship season.
