I have a few names as to the top freshman in '08, besides those who ran IESA.
Declan Duggan, 11:01 best for 2 mi in grade 8, standout since grade 6, Thompson Middle school in St. Charles, going to St. Charles North, times aren't the best in the state, but this kid is running every day and constantly improving
Carl Anderson, 10:20, give or take, best for 2 mi in grade 8, very little known outside his school, the runner to beat in the Two Rivers Conference, same conference as Duggan (above), headed to Wheaton Warrenville South
Quinn Farley, around 11:00 for two miles, right behind Carl for his enitire career to date. Faced Duggan 3 times last season, won 2 out of the three, Duggan beat Quinn both times in track for the mile, Headed to Wheaton Warrenvile South
Just a few names to consider, the lesser known ones.

Thanks for recognizing these three standout runners. I've seen several of the two river's meets and they are all fine runners and good sports. Anderson & Farley should give WWS a strong foundation in the coming years. I know that Duggan is dropping soccer to concentrate on CC & Track in HS. I look forward to watching these three compete with the best in the coming years.
